PHS Parent Night 4/19/17
Re: Survey Discussion

Dear PHS Parents,

I am writing again to invite you to a presentation and discussion of the results of a school engagement survey our students took in December. Designed by a team from Stanford University (, the survey gathered student perceptions on topics ranging from homework to stress levels and from academic integrity to parental expectations. We have received the survey analysis from the researchers, and we would like to share with you what we have learned about the experiences of our students.

We will be presenting the data from the survey on Wednesday, April 19, at 7:00 p.m. in the PHS cafeteria. We also will be connecting the data from the survey to our ongoing discussions among the PHS faculty about the ways we can deepen learning for our students while enhancing wellness. Our goal on the evening of April 19 is to engage you in that same discussion and to ask for your input regarding ideas to meaningfully and positively reshape learning in our school. We want all voices to be heard in these discussions, so we will be working in small groups as well as large. Please let us know if you will be joining us so we can make sure that we have enough tables and chairs to accommodate all participants.

If you plan to join us at 7:00 p.m. on April 19 for this important presentation and discussion, please RSVP to by 4/18. Please use “RSVP” in the subject line and indicate if a spouse or another adult from your family will be joining you.
