Transportation
Princeton Public Schools provides transportation to elementary and middle school students who live two miles or more from school in addition to high school students who live more than 2.5 miles from school. Please check out the Frequently Asked Questions below and contact the transportation office if you have further questions or concerns.
Students are under the authority of the driver of the school bus while being transported to and from school. Any serious infraction of the rules must be reported by the driver to the principal of the school which the students attends and to the transportation supervisor The life of the student and all others on the bus is at stake and no conduct can be tolerated that might jeopardize safe travel to and from school. All proper legal steps will be taken to see that the established regulations are enforced.

Where will my child's bus stop be? What time will it stop?
Bus stop locations and times are available in PowerSchool under More > Bus Information. Please note: this information is listed only in the Bus Information section (not under “Transportation”). If my child's bus does not arrive on time in the morning, what should I do?
Please call 609.806.4209 to speak with the transportation supervisor. Under most circumstances, she can radio the driver to determine their location.
If my child misses their bus, what should I do?
Students should be at their bus locations 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up times. Parents are responsible for transporting children who have missed the bus.
What time will my child's bus come when there is a delayed opening?
Delayed opening is 90 minutes later than the regularly scheduled school time. Buses will pick up students at their regularly assigned stop 90 minutes later than the normal time.
How do I find out information about the Cranbury late bus PHS students?
The Cranbury late bus is provided by the Cranbury Board of Education. Please contact Cranbury School District's transportation office at 609.395.1700, ext 223 with questions and concerns.
Can my child ride the bus home with a friend, or can a friend ride the bus home with my child?
If they are on the same bus, please email DonnaBradin@princetonk12.org 24 hours in advance. Children are not allowed to switch buses. If the children normally take separate buses, the transportation is the responsibility of the parents.
We have moved. How do I get my child assigned to a new bus?
If you move within Princeton, you must notify Central Registration of the move. You will be asked to provide an original copy of your new lease or deed and updated secondary documents. If you move to a neighborhood with a different school assignment, your child will be required to transfer to that school.

Once your address is updated in the system, the student will be assigned a new bus, as long as the new address is not located in the walking area.

What is the rule for allowing students to be dropped off without a parent present?
A parent/guardian of kindergarten students must be present in order for the student to be dropped off.
